Your path into a massage therapy career — explained.
NIMB admits small cohorts on a rolling basis. The full admissions process typically takes two to three weeks from first contact to enrollment.
Six steps from "interested" to "enrolled."
Reach out.
Submit the contact form on this site, call us, or apply via Indeed. A member of our admissions team — Angela Lopez, Susie Gordon, or Andrea Serrano — will reach out within one business day.
Have a get-to-know-you call.
A 20-minute conversation with your admissions advisor to learn about your goals, walk you through the program, and answer your questions.
Complete two short assessments.
A brief academic readiness assessment (EduReady) and a personality/work-style survey. These help us understand how to best support you.
Meet with the Institutional Director.
A second call — this one with Bill Mullins — to go deeper on the program and your fit.
Tour the campus.
A small-group campus visit in South Nashville. Meet the team, see the classrooms and student clinic, and get a feel for the day-to-day environment.
Final meeting and enrollment.
A final in-person meeting with your admissions advisor to confirm your cohort, review payment options, and sign your Enrollment Agreement.

Common questions, answered.
Do I need any prior experience to apply?
No. The majority of our students arrive without any massage or healthcare background. The program is designed to take you from foundational anatomy through clinical practice.
Are evening or weekend classes available?
NIMB's primary program is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We do not currently offer an evening or weekend cohort. CE classes for licensed LMTs are sometimes offered on weekends.
Will I qualify for federal financial aid?
NIMB does not currently participate in Title IV federal financial aid programs. Our in-house payment plan and the sponsored track are designed to make tuition affordable without it.
How big are the cohorts?
NIMB intentionally keeps cohorts small to ensure every student gets meaningful one-on-one time with instructors. Specific cohort caps are shared during the admissions process.
Where do graduates typically work?
Spa, franchise, chiropractic, sports therapy, and independent practice settings throughout Middle Tennessee. Sponsored-track graduates begin work at an affiliated Massage Envy location.
What happens if I have to miss class?
NIMB has a written attendance policy that allows for a limited number of absences per module. Missed material can be made up through tutored sessions or self-directed projects. Bill or your admissions advisor can walk you through the specifics during the admissions process.
Is the program eligible for VA education benefits?
NIMB is exploring approval for VA education benefits. Please contact admissions for the current status.
